Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Myrtle Holmes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Peacefully at the Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the age of 95; beloved wife of the late Eric Holmes (2011); loving mother of George of Orangeville, Allan and his wife Sherri-Lee of Fergus, Bruce of Orangeville and Jackson and his wife Kathy of Orangeville; dear grandmother of Teresa (Brad), Lori (Wayne), Jamie (Jodi), Chad and Erin (Mike); cherished great-grandmother of Morgan, Jocelyn, Wyatt, Olivia and Rylan. Myrtle will be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville (519-941-1392) on Wednesday March 2, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Myrtle may be made to St. Mark’s Anglican Church Building Fund or charity of your choice.
A tree will be planted in memory of Myrtle in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
