Obituary for Susan Denise DeVogel-Troch (DeVogel)

Susan Denise De Vogel-Troch
November 10, 1964 - March 5, 2019
Susan De Vogel-Troch of Dundalk passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer in her 55th year. Beloved wife of Robert, loving mother of Tara and Jamie. Daughter of the late Aalt and Ena De Vogel. Survived by siblings Margie (Drew) Morey, Jeannie, Fred (Karen) and Cindy (Paul) McQueen. Daughter-in-law of Mert and Shirl Troch, sister-in-law to Patricia and Steven.
Cherished by nieces and nephews Jason, Chris, Erin, Becky, Andrew, Ryan, Shawn, Matthew, Stephen, Jacob, Emma, Janessa, Liam, Charlotte, Mieke, Nevin, Everett, Alex, Caitlyn, Carleigh, Matthew and Josh. Also, lovingly remembered by her extended family in The Netherlands.

Sue had passion for all parts of her life - she loved and cared for her family and her girls meant everything to her. For years, her customers and colleagues at the many places she worked (including Main Street Station and Cranberry Resort/Living Waters Resort) were treated not just to 'service with a smile' but more like service with a smile, quick wit and a twinkle in her eye. When she wasn't working, Sue could often be found tending to her gardens or most adoringly, playing pool. Sue loved playing a friendly game at her home table with her husband Bob, and for the last number of years, played more competitively as team captain in her pool league.

A special thank you to Care Partners from Wellington County for the nursing care that Sue received that made it possible for her to remain at home throughout her illness, and to H & H Aluminum for supporting Bob as he took time off work to provide full time care for Sue. Special thanks also to the Living Water Resort for the meals sent and love and support shown to Sue over the past months, and to the many friends and family who visited, sent texts and emails and kept Sue in their thoughts and prayers for the past year.
