Obituary

Kathryn Cory, née Brennan
Family and friends are grieved to say goodbye to Kathryn, who died at home at age 62. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister; a memorable and fun-loving cousin, aunt, and sister-in-law; a generous and vivacious friend and colleague; and a passionate and inventive teacher. Survived by her daughter Heather Cory (Spencer); grandchildren Grace, Michael, and Liz; brother Mike Brennan and sister Kelly Adams (Vaughan). Predeceased by her husband David, son Michael, mother Rita Etmanski, and father Len Brennan.

A Funeral Service will be held for Kathryn at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday, May 24 at 2:30 p.m.; Visitation will be prior to the Service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., a reception will follow.

As Kathryn loved animals and always went out of her way to aid animal welfare, donations are requested to Ontario SPCA to benefit the Orangeville & District Animal Centre.

A tree will be planted in memory of Kathryn in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com

Kathryn was my daughter’s teacher, she was a wonderful teacher who cared deeply for her students. She will be missed.

Dear Family of Kathryn;
We are so very sorry for your loss. Kathryn was a teaching colleague ours and we remember her positivity and vivaciousness. Her students loved being in her classroom, Kathryn made the learning experience rewarding and full of fun.

We will miss you, Kathryn! Always a smile, a joke, a story, and a LOVE for music. Thanks for always sharing, and for being a supportive colleague. I know you touched the lives of many, in particular the hundreds of children you taught through the years. Thanks for always being yourself - unique, creative and fun. Sincere condolences to your family and closest friends. We will remember you.
