Passed peacefully at his home on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Ruby. Dear father of Trina and David. Loving grandfather of Erica Whyte. Predeceased by his parents Gould and Alexandrina, and his siblings Violet, Julien, Ralaigh and Grace. He will be missed by his siblings Jean, Nathaniel, Cynthia, Marilyn, Emerald, Evelyn, and their families. John will also be greatly missed by his nephews Edwin and Richard, his many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of John's life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with words of remembrance at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of John in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
