Obituary for Holger Henning Larsen
Larsen, Holger Henning - March 17, 1943 – January 2, 2019
Our one-of-a-kind Holger is now in heaven with the Lord. We don’t know if he’s on horseback, or fly fishing or at the target range but we do know that he is in the presence of God, happy and whole in his new heavenly body and reunited with friends and relatives that have gone on before him. Holger leaves his loving wife of 53 years, Sharon. Also left to mourn is daughter, Jennifer Bergner, son-in-law Ulf, and granddaughters Daena and Annika of Oakville. Daughter Susan Conrad, son-in-law Dan, and grandchildren Mattias, Karina and Elise of Fairfax, Virginia will also miss him tremendously. Even while our hearts are breaking with his loss, we invite you to join in celebrating the full life he lived here on earth.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or World Vision would be appreciated by the family.
Our hearts continue to be overwhelmed with gratitude for all the support, prayers and visits from dear friends. Special thanks to Dr. Karla Maag, and all the health care providers that gave Holger such loving care.
A tree will be planted in memory of Holger in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
