Gone home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Betty and the late Yvonne. Loved father of Robert and his wife Anne of Orangeville and Teresa Coombes and her husband Scott of Grand Valley. Dear Opa of Rachel, Aaron (Brittnie), Nicolaas and Bradley. Cherished Great- Opa of Charlotte. Step-Opa of Andrew (Amanda) and their daughters Teyla and Skyler and Amanda (Dave) and their daughter Desi. Remembered by his step-children JC Thorne (Robin), Doug Thorne (Sandy) and their families. Henk will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of Henk's life will be held at the Compass Community Church, Hockley Rd., Mono on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Spring Interment - Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial donations in memory of Henk may be made to the Gideons International Canada or Compass Community Church.
A tree will be planted in memory of Henk in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
