I had the honour of meeting Fred many years ago when he volunteered to help me with a school film project. As I interviewed him it was heartbreaking to see the pain in his eyes as he recalled his experiences during the war. I will never forget that and how much it helped me to really appreciate everything Fred and all veterans had to endure for our country, for that I am eternally grateful. So as Fred is laid to rest I send him my gratitude and respect. I pray that he is now at peace and in the presence of the his wife and friends that he lost and talked so dearly about during our interview. 💐

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye. My dad will be forever remember by his family as a man who gave everything to his country. And although it affected his personal life tremendously, we will be forever grateful for his war contributions and appreciate all that he did for our freedom. May he rest in peace and find comfort in heaven with his sole mate Mavis. In loving memory..... His son Dennis, daughter-in-law Cindy, granddaughters Amanda & Katelyn, great grandsons Lakelin and Oakley.
